Studies of arquitecture and scenography. Formation of studies with Master Gaston Breyer.
My memory of the first class, in which Breyer took a box of objects, threw them on the floor and began to speak to us of what he called "aleatory dispersion". He posed the problem of how to bring order to a space starting with a concept. At the end of the first class, he asked us to fabricate a cube made of wood sticks which we would use in the following classes. Inside the cube we were to develop spaces combining threads, cardboard planes, plastics or textiles. From these abstract exercises were conceived scenographic studies.
Breyer spoke to us of semiotic analysis, gestalt; theories which did not have an apparent relation to theater, but which he used to give richness and scope to the theatrical text. His objective was to develop a systematic method for the design of scenographic space.
My work as a designer of space is born as a product of the poetry and creative handling of space.
With an artistic spirit I wish to achieve very carefully hewed and crafted space where my intuition and inspiration are given free rein.
An innovative stage designer always seduced the spectator. In this way the stage becomes a center that radiates intelligence and imagination.
